hey there, i'm chris. what's your name?

it's nice to meet you what brings you here?

chris o'neil

alright i'll tell you a little bit about myself. my name is chris and i do three things really well: hack, hustle, and energize. i'm a hacker in the sense that on any given weekend you can find me making something awesome at a hackathon, and a hustler because i most likely already sent you an email or met you at sxsw. as for energy, i'm the guy who sucks the boring out of the meeting. you should check out my portfolio page to see a few of the cool things that i've done, and shoot me an email. i'd love to get to know you.

for all of the recruiters of the world, i know objective-c, c++, python (+flask), and java (+swing). i'm a builder, and nothing inspires me more than making things that people use.

i'm an entrepreneur at heart. i give back to my university by spreading entrepreneurship through mpowered entrepreneurship, a student org focused on making michigan the most innovative, impact driven school in the world.

i consider myself an ios first developer. i make cool things such as the the infamous playbook, the hackathon winning vulse, and the groundbreaking pear. i've also been known to go way out of my way to help others learn, which includes teaching 2 hour crash courses on ios at the university of michigan. i'm always cooking up new ideas for projects.

i dove into the world of mobile programming through android. a team of engineers and i created tascii, a simple group task manager. this was the experience that solidified my confidence as a developer and gave me the motivation to take on ios. it's been a while, but i would love to dive back in to android programming.

i love python for the sole reason that it was my first real language. sure we learn c++ in school, but python and udacity taught me the value of creating something that people can use. one of my proudest projects is my wiki, but i've come a long way, and I am excited to become a respected backend engineer.
